China Shop

from Web In The Corner by Colette O'Connor

about

China Shop is a visual, emotional, and engaging musical experience. Nothing here is as it seems. The precious pieces, carefully locked away, hold very real, and very mystical connections, with time itself, represented in the exquisite finger style guitar work "sound of the clock". This piece welcomes browsing but warns you to have a care not to break anything. It can't go back. The lyrics and vocals are crystal clear. It's beauty will pull your heart strings.

lyrics

Someone in the China Shop waits. Minutes into hours fade. Do not strike the glass for if it breaks it can't go back. Love was born of fire, long, long ago. Turning desire into the mold every beating heart became and, in time, remains. Fragile as the glass you can not see. Broken in me. So I locked it away, where all the fragile things lay, now in the China Shop case. Hope left behind, still beating, beating. Hoping you'll find, all the pieces keeping, where I locked them away, all the fragile things lay now in the China Shop case. Someone in the China Shop waits. Minutes into hours fade. Do not strike the glass, for if it breaks it can't go back.
